Dubai
An unexpected perk was that the flight to Dubai was upgraded to businessclass, which I can tell you is quite splendid with Emirates, not that I have anything to compare it too. Little salmon canapes and champagne, but still a main course that was only good for about two bites.
Unfortunately this luxury is only for the first part of this journey. With about two thirds remaining, I sit at this airport, where prayer rooms go alongside toilets.
Now my journey will continue, with my far too large backpack, a little bit tired and still no clue with what awaits me.
Ready for take off

Life in boxes
A large explanation for this is Pedro, since as a proper Brazilian he has football running through his veins. Next Friday we face Brazil, but I will not be here to watch the game. Dressed in orange I will be watching this game with Annelotte and Lisianne in the middle of the night in a hostel in Sydney. Time has flown by as I find myself a day before leaving. Wednesday half past three I will lift off into the air towards the other side of this earth.
Nostalgia fills me when I look around my trusty student room. For two years now I have been calling this my home. Now the pictures are taken from the wall and my belongings are put in boxes. The smiley drawn in the dust of the tv has been cleaned, together with all the rest of the dirt labelled 'no time to clean, examweek'.
Weirdly empty, this room is awaiting its new tennant, who will only arrive in two months, when the dust might have already returned.
